DescriptionWith 20 years in the Silicon Valley, I've been on leadership teams for innovative hardware companies in the WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth audio, Wellness/Health wearables, consumer IoT and digital imaging segments.
I now run a consulting firm that focuses on hardware startups, helping them scale to success. I've worked with over a dozen startups the past 3 years, ranging from crowdfunded businesses to companies that have raised Series A or B rounds with Tier 1 venture capital. I help my client companies scale systems and processes; implement supply chain; negotiate and implement go-to-market partnerships w e-tail and physical retail; implement backoffice processes including recruiting and HR, legal and contracts, accounting and finance, facilities and support. I advise the company's board, major investors and leadership team on the business model, key metrics and detailed strategy, and work on the detailed execution. I have raised venture debt, bank lines and facilities, angel equity and venture capital equity. I also help companies prepare for and execute a sale, with several of my hardware companies having a successful M&A transaction. I consult to larger companies on potential M&A transactions and assist them with due diligence of target companies.
I have worked with or consulted to over 20 hardware companies, ranging in size from a pre-revenue, 3 person startup to a $1.2 billion revenue, 800 person company and everything in-between. So I have seen every stage that a hardware company may encounter and successfully resolved issues, built the business to get the company to the next stage of growth.
